the stranglies are going to have an 'accomplished young ladies' picnic -- we're going to sit in some gardens, sketch, read poetry aloud, read novels, and eat strawberries, cucumber sandwiches etc. wish you could be there in your floppy hat.

grot- very! the snow was not-icy, my snow ploughs were effective, the signs were in english and the weather was perfect.

sorry, no idea what sort of skis. i was distracted - the ski-hire dude was interrogating me on australian geography and culture. the problem was, as he explained, he has a lot of trouble udnerstanding the australian accent.
it wasn't a *really* successful conversation.
