just a few favours here and there, nudge nudge wink wink! nah, fill in a bunch of forms, sell my self shamelessly, academic record, reference letter, blah blah.
now i have to write a letter of appreciation to my nameless benefactor. i am very grateful to them, apart from the obvious i can afford to pay my tution fees angle, because they're supporting kidlit, so often neglected in academia.

i don't think it's rude for you to ask, but is it rude for me to brag online? (more than i already have, i mean)
it is $1500, which is not terribly much as scholarships go, but covers the amount i figured i would be short after this trip, housing fees, tuition fees and buying all my set texts. in other words, it is the perfect amount!
