Looks like you're good at it, though. All those boxes look ueber professional. And you have the perfect moving outfit. You could be a fashion page from DIVA.
(Which I read because my neighbour put it under the door. I never BOUGHT it. Just so we're clear.) And what's wrong with my spelling of neighbour. Americans!

think of how nice it will be when you are unpacked and can kick those stupid moving boxes a few times.

it's totally legal. cardboard doesn't have any rights yet, that i know of.

yr looking tres skinnie, my darling

is that good skinnie? or bad skinnie?

you could still be living here at home, in yr little room, like so many other twentysomethings - think on that ...

I hate moving too - especially other people's moving!!! (and the cleaning that goes with moving)

Im back at work and gradually getting over the travel tiredness.
I specially loved Ireland and the Irish. It was lovely being surrounded with all the beautiful accents.
When you feel like it, you should send me an email with your new address, so I can send you the postcards I bought but never got round to sending.

nimmersatt,

the outfits are definitly the high point of any move. i am so butch.

will post photos once i find my camera, attachy cord, laptop cord, etc. and we get the internet hooked up.

i used to enjoy diva. it was the first magazine i bought after several years of "NO GLOSSIES" policy brought on by reading "the beauty myth" at an impressionable age.

my packing always starts out organsied: "boooks A-G", "books REF" etc, and by the end it was "random crap" and "more random crap (incl. bathroom)"

it's nearly over!

actually, i can't beat them up too much, itchy, cos i want to make ned kelly armour out of them for my halloween costume.

see, moving is fun! and useful!

Ah, yes, but then DIVA got a new editor and became inane and apolitical, at best.
But the fashion page thing was still definitely a compliment.

gumtreefid farmer said...

pps. yes, grotty, v.g. point re. living at home. nicer to be out and on one's own like a grownup.

gumtreefid farmer said...

jt,

actually the cleaning wasn't too bad this time, cos i was just moving one room. tell you what, i don't miss sugar soaping the walls of a rental!

aw, glad you had a good trip. good accents are totally exciting. i am v. jealous. too many north american accents in my life atm.

ooo, postcards! i did enjoy the one you did send!

thankyou for love, much appreciated.
