just for tine

having a few days away from my plants brought some very exciting surprises. the tomatoes have flower buds:

the coriander suddenly sprouted, as did two more gumtree (?) seeds (in the background, out of focus):

and, most exciting, my gumtree put out two proper leaves that are shaped like gumleaves and SMELL LIKE LEMON SCENTED GUM! huzzah!

hooray! a forest is born!

(ps just get a dog, will you? what about a guide dog puppy? - but hten have to give back

or an abandoned greyhound? but then the older dog expensive care bit comes sooner)

max growled at me again last night - wish we had a proper gun...

that foxy triffid is just lulling you into a false sense of security until it gets big enough to survive on its own.
beware!

grotajira,

yup! it will be the most beautiful gum forest east van has ever seen!

not grown-up enough to get a dog yet, also rental properities in vancouver that let you have a dog are rarer than hen's teeth. i'll stick with being chicory's other mother for the time being.

you will not shoot my dog!
