lordy - the civic strike is now into its 11th week. eleven weeks with no garbage or recycling, no public libraries, no pools, no nothin! the rubbish is starting to pile up. luckily it's far too cold to smell anymore, and the fruit flies have gone away. lucky - ziggy and i were joking that we'd come home one day and find the locks changed, and the fruit flies forming signs in the air : "we live here now."
the streets are covered in fallen leaves. the seasons are defined much more sharply here. it's autumn, wholeheartedly.
